ENERGY SECRETS FOR WOMEN ONLY!
HOW DO I KEEP MY ENERGY LEVELS UP ALL DAY?
This is a question that I get asked often. From busy women, who work outside the home or work at home with their family.
There are so many things that can be done to keep your energy levels up throughout the day. Practice them and you will feel energized and inspired.
Here are the top 6 secrets, try it!
1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Stay hydrated-. Water is so important and most people are dehydrated.
This leads to feeling very tired. Drink water… if cold will help, use ice , a pitcher of ice water on your desk at work, a partially frozen water bottle at home or work. If you like it warm, invest in a electric kettle. They are very reasonable today. Just drink. Try to drink 8 glasses of water a day. (especially if you are actively working out in some way), If you use a bottle, measure how much it contains, don’t guess, know. Hydrating your system will help you think clearly, and make you less tired. Coffee in the morning does not count.
2. Caffeine, our next subject! Too much caffeine will tax your adrenals which will make your energy levels crash. This will result in a harder time to lose unwanted fat. Caffeine is hidden in energy drinks, and many diet sodas. These energy drinks and sodas will not provide you with energy; they will tax your energy in the end.
A (one) morning cup of coffee can actually be beneficial, as a thermogenic (fat burner), but in moderation.
3. Sleep- We all know how we drag without enough sleep.
Sleep needs do vary for each person. If you can, learn how to power nap. Meditation also, if you can do it will refresh you as well. There are many good books on Meditation; you can visit our Blog, which is listed at the bottom of this page to see a list of books on meditation and other topics.
Meditation gives you twice the boost as you go into an alpha state. As you relax your body and mind, it will relieve stress and tension. How you sleep is also important. Your bedroom should only be used for sleep. Watching TV, eating, or reading in bed can affect the quality of your sleep.
A shower or bath prior to sleep will help you relax your mind and body.
4. Exercise- Believe it or not exercise does not make you tired. It provides energy.
If you feel too tired to exercise but you go ahead and do it anyway, you will have even more energy.
The less you exercise your body, the more tired you will be.
The type of exercise will vary by your choice, however weight training is easy, and fast, and once you have completed a session, your body still works and burns up fats, you can also feel energized.
Light weights with repeating sets, works great. Steady cardio exercise will actually be counter productive. It can affect your hormonal balance, by producing cortisol, which adds belly fat. You can visit our Blog, which is listed at the bottom of this page to see more topics like this one.
With weight training your metabolic rate increases and stays elevated throughout the whole day. It will increase your lean muscle and boost your immune system. Endorphins are released in your body and give you that great feeling.
5. Nutrition-This Goes without saying, Good Nutrition is crucial to energy levels.
Eat smaller meals throughout the day. This is an effective way to keep your blood sugar stable.
Stay away from sugary foods and large amounts of food. Consumming too much at one time will make you feel very tired It also promotes a craving for more of the same foods….
